Firstly, it is not only hot but also addictively sour as well thanks to the tamarind (or better known locally as assam/asam). - Added salt / fish sauce to taste (add in sugar for Extra flavor)
To Cook Add tamarind juice and tomato, bring to boil. Dish your Assam Fish Curry and serve with rice. Combine the tamarind pulp and water and leave to soften, then strain. Coat the fish pieces in flour mixed with a little turmeric. Heat some oil in a frying pan and fry the fish pieces until lightly coloured.
